Before submitting a data request, carefully read our Data Guidelines and our Publication Guidelines. A formal data request, including an accompanying research plan, can be submitted via our online data request portal. The proposal (data request plus research plan) will be evaluated, and the comments will be sent to you via email. Once the proposal has been approved and the management fee has been settled, the requested data will be provided.
The final version of manuscript for a journal or abstract for a congress must be approved by the MT before submission is allowed. The manuscript/abstract together with the syntax/code that was used for the data analysis and the completed form "Appendix C" (see below) must be submitted tot DMS at um-researchdms@maastrichtuniversity.nl for approval. The MT will assess formal conditions (title, description of The Maastricht Study data collections, funding) and overall scientific quality. Once a proposal has been approved, the manuscript/abstract can be submitted.
External researchers
External researchers (i.e., those without an UM of MUMC affiliation) are strongly encouraged to submit a research proposal in cooperation with a member of The Maastricht Study Management Team and/or project-relevant Maastricht Study Domain Expert*.
